Rapid-X Digital will show its Austalian-made digital label presses at Ipex 2014, March 24-29 in London; on the stand of its European distributor Impression Technologies Europe.

Rapid first released the X1 Memjet-powered four years ago at Ipex 2010 where is caused a considerable stir as the first commercially available Memjet-powered label press. Since then, over 250 Australian-made Rapid X machines have been shipped, with a variety of finishing, unwinding and rewinding options.

“The past four years has flown by,” says General Manager Nick Mansell, “and we have continuously improved the features and introduced new models and finishing options. We are delighted to be at Ipex again on the ITE stand.”

Roy Burton, managing director of Nottingham-headquartered ITE has confirmed that the Rapid X1 and X2 will be on the stand, along with the Rapid D2 die-cutter/laminator and UW1 unwinder with RW1 rewinder.

“There is a possibility that our new XL220 all-in-one digital label press will make it to London in time for Ipex,” says Mansell, “at least there will be technical information available on it.”

Ipex is the quadrennial printing and graphic arts trade fair second only to drupa in size and attendance. It will take place from March 24-29 at the London ExCel centre, Docklands and will feature many free conference and workshop sessions in addition to the exhibition.
